About...All This Stuff
I have to thank Gas Powered Games for their creation of Dungeon Siege, an unassuming but extensively moddable hack-and-slash Diablo clone of a game. Until Dungeon Siege came around, I've always been a player, not a maker. The community that sprung up around the game is amazingly talented and I'm glad to have had the opportunity to learn from and collaborate with some of these people.
This project developed as a springboard for exploring the concepts behind the implementation of various gameplay mechanics that weren't available in the game. This site was published online on Sunday, November 28, 2004 to motivate me to document the development of these methods. I had a gander at the game's terrain textures, and said, "Hey, those could work in a website layout..." so even a little bit of the game's art assets of the game are utilized in some form here.
Now that I've bored you to death with the humdrum origin story, go look at the pages with actual content!
